Introduction

Colonial life was different in many ways than today's culture. The schools, clothing, jobs, churches, and even discipline was unique to the 1700's. I want you to research about life in the 1700's and then construct a poster or brochure showing life in the colonial time as well as 5 facts you learned about each part of their life. You will have to present your poster as an oral presentation to the class.

The Task

Your task is to research the information on five of the topics listed below and then create a brochure or poster advertising colonial days. The brochure or poster should catch people's attention with its pictures and interesting facts.

The Process

1. You may work alone or with one other student on this project.

2. Research the information on five of the topics listed below:

3. When you have completed researching colonial life, create a poster or make a brochure advertising colonial life.  Remember to include 5 facts about colonial life. The purpose of this assignment is to learn about colonial life and then present the information you have learned in the form of a poster or brochure that will catch people's attention because of the interesting facts and pictures.

4. After the poster or brochure is done, write down notes or practice your oral presentation that you will give to the class. I want your oral presentation to mention at least two interesting facts you learned and through your presentation, try to persuade the class that they would want to live in colonial times.
