Changes in Standards of Learning:
Objectives added to 2009 Standards of Learning not included in 2001 Standards of Learning:
o Write the ordinal numbers (for positions first through twentieth)
o Identify the part of a set and/or region that represents sixths
o Compare the unit fractions for halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, eighths, and tenths
o Recall addition facts with sums to 20 or less
o Create and solve one- or two-step addition and subtraction problems
o Measure weight/mass in pounds, ounces and kilograms, grams
o Tell and write time to the nearest five minutes
o Identify specific days and dates on a given calendar
o Draw a line of symmetry in a figure
o Identify and create figures with at least one line of symmetry
o Refer to rectangular “solids” as rectangular prisms
o Use data from experiments to construct picture graphs, pictographs, and bar graphs
