The Chimney Rock school was a one-room school constructed in 1885 at the entrance to Brock's Gap. The original land for the school was deeded to the Plains District School Board by Sarah Riddle and others on October 21, 1885. Teachers at Chimney Rock are unknown and the closing date of the school is also unknown. The school is not listed in the Plains District School Board minutes in 1908. The school probably closed about 1906.
