Blose School

The Blose school was a one-room school located on Naked Creek north of Elkton and near the Page County line. The date of construction of Blose School is unknown but it is shown in Lake's 1885 Atlas of Rockingham County adjoining the Naked Creek Church. The earliest teachers at the Blose School are unknown. The Blose School burned during the Christmas break of 1940 and was not rebuilt. The Blose students and their teacher, Ruth Chisholm, were moved to Elkton.
