Bennett's Run School

 

The Bennett's Run School was located west of Dovesville (Bergton) on Bennett's Run. The land for the Bennett's Run School was deeded to the Plains District School Board on August 16, 1902 by Solomon Smith and wife. Additional land was deeded by Solomon Smith and wife on March 4, 1919. The first session at the school was the 1902-03 session. The earliest teachers at the school are unknown. During its early years, the school had difficulty maintaining a legal average and was not opened for several sessions. Teachers known to have taught at Bennett's Run are:
