Many of our parents work during school hours, as well as in the evenings, which prevents them from being able to volunteer or attend family events at school. For this reason, we decided that instead of only asking parents to come to us, we would start going to them!
On October 14, 2016, the Mountain View Staff held its first community outreach event at National Coach Estates. This neighborhood was chosen first due to over one hundred of our students living there. Teachers were able to see where their students live, and learn more about who they are as people. The afternoon was filled with smiling faces, hugs, laughter, and fun as we played games and enjoyed a snack together.
We are looking forward to many more community outreach events this year!
