Of the eight teachers and students recognized at the Massanutten Regional Libraries Robert B. and Gladys Hopkins Strickler Honored Teacher Essay Contest reception, five were from Rockingham County Public Schools. The audience needed tissues as five of our students read their winning essays for their honored teacher and the attending audience. This year's contest had 130 entries in grades K-12, and the Kiwanis Club served as judges for the annual event.
