RCPS Welcomes Over 100 New Teachers

RCPS welcomes over 100 new teachers for the 2000-2001 school year. Executive Director of Human Resource Stephanie Dearing directed the newly hired personnel through an orientation session held August 15 which included a welcome from Superintendent John Kidd and School Board President Lowell Fulk, a presentation about the history of Rockingham County Public Schools, a presentation about the technology in RCPS, and information about employment benefits. On August 16 the new employees viewed presentations about various instructional departments.
Husband and wife team Craig and Tracy West are two of the new RCPS teachers. They previously taught in South Carolina.
