Character Counts! Program October 17 at Spotswood High School

You are Invited!

Saving Your Sanity in Parenthood

Nobody gave us an owner's manual with our children. In fact, you get more instructions with a new microwave than you do with a child! Do your kids just look at you and say something like "So". "Fine, just fine". "You can ground me for the rest of my life because I'm not going to change!" Have you ever heard any of these? Are you looking for the receipt for the kids so you can return them? Are you looking for the answer? You are not alone.... Other parents consider whether their child's middle name is "get me, buy me, take me, give me!" Parenting, as every parent learns sooner or later, is an undertaking with more questions than answers. Who taught us to be parents? Is on-the-job experience all there is? The best we can hope for? What should we... or what CAN we teach our kids? How can parents deal effectively with all the problems our children face? We want our kids to be responsible and make good decisions in life. How do we teach our kids these skills in a practical manner? How do we help our kids develop better character?
