Special Education Program Improvement Monitoring Public Meeting for Parents and Students
The Virginia Department of Education will be conducting a routine monitoring of the Rockingham County Public School division special education services. The on-site monitoring will occur during the week of April 25, 2005.
The Rockingham County Local Advisory Committee (LAC) is sponsoring a meeting on April 26, 2005 for students and parents to provide public comment about educational issues impacting students with disabilities. The meeting will be held at Spotswood High School in the library beginning at 7:00 PM.
The LAC invites you to participate in this meeting to share your views regarding services to students with disabilities. Representatives from the Virginia Department of Education will be present. Written comments may be submitted if you are unable to attend the meeting. Please send your written comments to Mr. Scott Hand, Director, Pupil Personnel Services, 2 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia by April 22, 2005. Comments may also be faxed to 564-3250.
