JMU & Microsoft Executives Visit Pleasant Valley Elementary School

On Friday, November 11, James Madison University President Linwood Rose and the Microsoft Vice President for the U.S. Public Sector (Government and Education) Linda Zecher visited Pleasant Valley Elementary School as part of the kickoff to a new JMU-Microsoft partnership which will extend the NETS*T project throughout Virginia. The NETS*T project was initiated by the Shenandoah Valley Technology Consortium which includes Rockingham County. PVES was selected as the location of their visit because there are six NETS*T teachers there: Lisa Long, Kelly Rooney, Carole Welch, Kim Vanbenschoten, Andrea Lantz, and Patty Burchill. The visit included visits to these and other classrooms as detailed below.
