D.O.E. Releases 2006-2007 AYP Status |
||
|
The Virginia Department of Education has released the list of schools and school divisions in Virginia which met or exceeded No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) achievement objectives during the 2005-2006 school year. Federal regulations determine whether Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is achieved at each school in reading and mathematics. Only 24 school divisions in the Commonwealth had every school and the division which met AYP requirements. Roanoke County and Rockingham County were the two largest school divisions in this elite list.
