RCPS Offers Tuesday Tech workshops for teachers

All workshops for RCPS Teachers to be held at the Hulvey Training Room at the new School Board Offices from 3:45 - 5:00 on Tuesdays.   There is no registration for the workshops--just show up and learn!  For each three workshops attended, participants may request 5 recertification points from their principal.  All workshops are taught by Instructional Technology Resource Teachers. Will also cover the Elem/MIddle school AV emacs. Put everything together for a neat movie or slide show that can be burned/shown on a DVD.

Mar 28 Kevin Perkins Creating Assessments with Exam View Pro Teachers in Gr. 6-12 Efficiently create assessments in ExamView Pro, learn how to format tests, create multiple forms and add your own question banks.
Apr 4 Obe Hostetter PowerPoint Games-Movies, sounds, animations All teachers Learn how to create PowerPoint Games as well as spice them up with Unitedstreaming Video clips, animations and sounds. You can make any game more interactive and fun for the students and YOU!
Apr 11 Obe Hostetter Google Internet Searches & using Quia.com All teachers Learn how to search the Internet using the advanced searches of Google so you can find SOL resources on the Internet to save you time and energy. I will also show you how to use www.quia.com to create tests, games, webpages, surveys etc.
Apr 18 Joe Showker Webpage from your Desk All teachers Learn how to create a simple webpage from your desk that shows up on the internet. This page can also be linked from your school web page. Change the data as often as you like.
Apr 25 Alice Bair Kidspiration Teachers in Grades K-5 Learn how to use Kidspiration, a great graphic organizing tool.
