TAHS's First Garden

Fresh, school-grown tomatoes are plentiful at Turner Ashby High School now, thanks to the efforts of TAHS Physical Education Teacher, Cindy Ferek, and some of her students.

According to Ferek who led the project, "The adapted physical education class planted, weeded, harvested and tended to our garden. We canned the fruits of our labor and enjoyed learning how tomatoes are processed with a pressure cooker."
