Meet twice a month on Wednesdays after school to share cultural elements of our community.
Amigos Unidos, means "Friends United" in Spanish! In this club, Spanish-speaking students meet after school with students from Bridgewater College. The club meets twice each month on Wednesdays. Under the leadership of Ms. Mary Gatling, the Spanish teacher at Pence, and Dr. Julia Morton, Spanish Professor at Bridgewater College, students from each school join together to form friendships and learn more about the cultural elements of our community, the benefits of positive interdependence, and the importance of a good education.
Bridgewater College students, the majority of whom study Spanish or Education, design activities and workshops to share with Pence students. During club sessions, middle school and college students share their opinions and feelings about what is important to them and what it means to live in this community.
