Health and Physical Education Department

Posted on october 14, 2011

Life in today's society requires little physical effort. Lack of physical activity is making it more evident that there is a need for more quality programs in physical education.

It is important that every school has a comprehensive physical education program that will encourage interest and participation in physical activities of both team and individual types. Instruction in these activities should stress the values and enjoyment of being physically active individual. Emphasis at these grade levels has been geared to "Lifetime Sports" with carry-over value. Ninth and tenth grade Health and Physical Education are required classes for graduation.
