LA SOCIEDAD HONORARIA HISPANICA DE SPOTSWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Membership of the Spanish Honor Society is nominated and chosen by SHS Faculty of Spanish based on the following criteria (these must be maintained to remain a member):
This Spanish Honor Society was established in 1981 by former Spotswood High School Spanish teacher and Department Chair, Mrs. Ester Perales Cohen. Our motto is "All together." Our colors are red and gold. The goal of the Society is to recognize superior achievement, foster interest in the Spanish language and the cultures of all Hispanic people, and to promote friendship and understanding with the people of the world. Members of the Spanish Honor Society promise to devote themselves to the study of the Spanish language and of Hispanic cultures. As a citizen of their country they shall endeavor to promote friendship and understanding between our populace and that of other countries.
