Pineville

The Pineville School was located at Pineville about two miles south of Montevideo next to the Mt. Olive Brethren Church. The earliest school was also known as Begoon's School. The exact date of construction is unknown but the school is indicated in Lake's 1885 Atlas of Rockingham County. Pineville was one of four small schools closed when the Pine Knot school was built in 1910. (see also Idahoe, Kyger, Three Springs).
