The Peach Grove School was a two room brick building built in 1907 on the Port Republic Road a few miles southeast of Harrisonburg. The land for the school was selected by Trustee George Keezel. Elizabeth Deitrick deeded the land to the Central District School Board on September 2, 1907. The modern two-room brick structure was built at a cost of $2500, the patrons paying $500 and the county $2000. The school also included a cloak room which for some time was used as a cooking room for the State Normal School. Peach Grove was established as a consolidation of two small one room schools: Hedrick's and Oakland schools. The Peach Grove School was closed in 1938.
