The Paul's Summit School was an old school that preceded the public school system and was incorporated into the public school system in 1872. The exact date of construction is unknown. The school was located on the road from Dayton and Silver Lake to Dale Enterprise (Route 701). The school was called "Paul's Summit" because the land was given by Abram Paul, the great-uncle of the well-known judge John Paul. The property of Abram Paul is noted in Lake's 1885 Atlas of Rockingham County, indicating the approximate location of the school. No information is available concerning teachers at Paul's Summit school. The Paul's Summit school operated until 1884 when it was moved closer to Mole Hill and renamed the Noble Center School.
