Rockingham School Construction (Part 3: 1929)

 

1929

 

Timber Ridge. 4 rooms with large auditorium. Brick. People agreed to pay $800.Board of Supervisors appropriated $4000. Literary loan $10,000. Built by Harrisonburg Building and Supply Company. Total cost: $15,900.

 

 

Park. Brick walls. Built by John I. Lee and Clifford Lee. John I. Lee fell from scaffold during construction and broke foot. Cost of building $8000.

 

 

Humes Run. 2 rooms, frame. Cost $3200. Built by L. A. Hensley.

 

 

Fox Mountain. One room added. Cost $1100. Built by L. A. Hensley
