The Cedar Grove School was located at the Cedar Grove crossroads (Old Furnace Road and Route 720) across from the Cedar Grove Church. The land was deeded to the Central District School Board by Maria J. Liskey and others on April 10, 1883. The first session at Cedar Grove was the 1883-84 school session. The first known teacher at Cedar Grove was Annie Koontz who taught at Cedar Grove starting in 1890.
