The Noble Center School was a one-room school located a short distance west of Dayton near Mole Hill. The Nobel Center school was opened in 1884 after the Paul's Summit school was discontinued and the new Noble Center school opened nearer to the center of the school population. The school was located on land adjoining the farms of Martin B. Rhodes and Solomon Heatwole. The school is indicated in Lake's 1885 Atlas of Rockingham County. Teachers at Noble Center are unknown and the exact date of closing of the school is also unknown but the school is believed to have closed in 1905 when an additional room was added to the Rushville school.
