
The Model School was located on what is now Route 640 north of
McGaheysville. The land for the Model School was deeded to the
Stonewall District School Board on November 30, 1878 by A. J. Johnson
and wife. The Model School was a one-room frame building which served
its community until it was closed in 1938.
