Eighth Grade Computer Technology
Course Description
Students will enhance their keyboarding skills and develop other
computer software skills related to word processing, graphics,
database, spreadsheet, presentations, and technology communication
tools.
- This course is in the Career & Technical Education Department
and involves the merging of several requirements including
Computer/Technology SOLs, CTE Course Task Lists and Competencies, VDOE
Internet Safety guidelines, and local school division course benchmarks.
- Upon the completion of two-year courses (Computer 7 & 8),
students will earn a high school credit. On students’
transcripts, the credit lists as Computer Lit 8 (0120).
