English As A Second Language
Grade Level: 9-12 1 Credit
ESL is a course for students whose primary language is not English and whose limited linguistics skills prevent success in the regular English grammar and syntax through the four skill areas (reading, writing, speaking, and listening). The second two levels, while refining grammatical skills, will include intensive training in reading and literary analysis, written composition and public speaking. Only two ESL elective English credits may be earned.
