- Health and Physical
Education I is comprised of five units, each divided into two
semester courses. Students must select and successfully complete
one of the following units of instruction for high school credit:
1) Unit I - Recreation Activities/Recreation Sports, 2) Unit II -
Recreation Sports/Lifetime Activities, 3) Unit III - Team
Sports/Recreation Activities, 4) Unit IV - Lifetime
Activities/Personal Fitness, and 5) Unit V - Personal
Fitness/Recreation Sports. Health Units include: 1) First Aid, 2)
Alcohol, Drugs and Tobacco Prevention, 3) Consumer Health Issues,
4) Mental Health and 5) Family Life.

- Grade Level: 10-12,
Prerequisite: H/PE I 1 Credit
- Health and Physical
Education II is comprised of classroom driver education/fitness
and conditioning during the first semester, and offerings of
Health and Physical Education units second semester. Units offered
are: 1) Team Sports, 2) Personal Fitness, 3) Fitness and
Conditioning and 4) Lifetime Activities. Students must
successfully complete 36 classroom driver education sessions in
order to be eligible for a learners permit and behind-the-wheel
instruction.

- Advanced PE (Elective)
1 Credit
- Grade Level: 11 or
12, Prerequisite: H/PE I, II
Advanced physical education
is an elective class for 11th or 12th grade students interested in
fitness and enjoyment through a variety of physical activities.
Students are eligible for only one year of credit in Grade 11 or 12.
The overall objective of the class is to promote wellness and the
importance of physical fitness.
