SEARCH OF MOTOR VEHICLES

Any person who operates a motor vehicle on school property or in connections with any school-related activity impliedly authorizes school representatives to conduct a search of the vehicle and its contents without cause and without notice. No search should be conducted without individualized reasonable suspicion that the search will turn up evidence that the person has violated or is violating either the law or the rules of the school. There should be no physical contact with any person during a search.
