At Pleasant Valley Elementary School, classes range from Pre-School through 5th grade. The school boasts a diverse population, making music instruction both unusually interesting and challenging. Objectives of the music program are aligned with those adopted by the Virginia Music Educators' Association and by Rockingham County. "Pinnacle" is a performing group of fifth graders who have excelled in music and want to continue to develop those skills. A performance may involve singing, playing Orff instruments, playing the recorder and/or movement.
