CONGRATULATIONS TO PVES! We earned the Governor's Award for Educational Excellence! This is the highest honor given by the Governor in Viriginia. PVES along with ten other Rockingham County Public Schools were recognized. Learn More. . .

*****PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE FOR ASSEMBLY***** Due to our recent school closings for snow the assembly scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5 has been moved to Monday, Feb. 8 (snow date - Feb. 9) at 1:30. We will announce the name of the Panther and the winner of Essay Contest. PARENTS PLEASE JOIN US FOR THIS VERY SPECIAL ASSEMBLY!!!

Be sure to sign up for parent teacher conferences. They will be held Thurs. Feb. 4 from 12-7. Your child should be bringing home a sign-up sheet.

PTA NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!! Parents who join PTA this month will receive a PVES bumper sticker and button. We need volunteer for cooking. baking, decorating, reading to kids and more. Please join today!

 

CALLING ALL DADS!!!!! PTA needs your help for a planned event during our Read-a-thon. We will be sponsoring Storytime with Dad's. We are searching for Dad's and Granddads, Grandpa's, PawPaw's to read stories in each classroom on Monday, March 8th at approximately 2:00 in the afternoon. If you are interested, please contact Mike Villacrusis. (click name or email mvillacrusis@rockingham.k12.va.us) Reading is very important to your child's development. Please consider giving of your time to encourage our students to read.

 

CONGRATULATIONS!Sana Aga is our Spelling Bee winner! She will represent PVES at the country Spelling Bee. James Sullivan and Zachary Reedy were our runner-ups! Congratulations to both all of you! Good luck Sana!

 

CONGRATULATIONS! James Sullivan is our Geography Bee champion! Dashty Taha was our second place winner. James will take the state qualifying test. The top 100 scorers in the state wil be invited to a competition in the spring. A special thank you to Mr. Bill Sprinkel for being the caller at our Geography Bee. Good luck James!
