Payment Policies & Procedures

Each child will be assigned an identification (ID) number that will be programmed into the cash register in the cafeteria.  The student will use this ID number when he/she comes through the breakfast or lunch lineAll students will punch in their own ID number as they go through the line.  Please help your child to memorize his/her ID number.

Your child's ID number is located on the top of the letter that you receive in August regarding this information.  Use this number in all correspondence to the cafeteria.  You may send money for meals on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.  The most effective method of payment would be a check.  All money sent to the school should be clearly marked with the child's name, grade, and ID number.

The price for breakfast for students is $.75, and the price of lunch is $1.50.  Second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students can refuse one item on the tray as they go through the lunch line.  Fourth and fifth grade students can buy additional items A La Carte.  The prices for A La Carte items are located in the cafeteria.

Charging - Guardians are financially responsible for all items purchased by their child(ren). Students are notified in the serving line as the account balance begins to approach a zero balance. Every effort should be made to avoid reaching a zero balance. In the event it reaches zero, no a la carte purchases will be permitted (cash or account). A student in 2nd through 5th grade may be delayed in the lunch line and be required to complete a charge slip (breakfast and/or lunch) located in the general area of the serving line. The cashier will complete the charge slip for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and 1st grade students. A negative balance notification (charge slip) will be sent home with the student on the day it occurs.

Free & Reduced Meal Prices

The school does offer financial aid support in regards to meal prices for your child, providing an application is filled out and accepted.  Each child is given a form at the beginning of each year.  Fill this form out to apply for financial aid.  Financial Aid comes in the form of Full Paid and Reduced prices.  Qualifying for free lunches also qualifies your child for free breakfast.  If you currently get food stamps or VA TANF for your child, your child can get free meals.
