School Council

The Plains Elementary School Council is a vital part of the school's shared decision making process. This group will help to provide direction for the school in accordance with the school's mission, the Annual School Plan, as well as Rockingham County's Six Year Plan. The School Council is composed of parents, staff members, and administrators.

The purpose of the School Council is to:

  1. Give input on the development and review of the Annual School Plan
  2. Help make suggestions for school improvement
  3. Focus all decisions on the goals in the school's mission statement
  4. Provide direction regarding allocation of resources in the school budget.

The School Council meets with the school administration every other month.
