Have you ever wanted to know more about a president?

Presidents become famous for their ideas and legacies during their presidency. What is the president known for? What mark did they leave on our nation? How did the way they grew up affect them? 

Many famous people have interesting stories of how they became famous.  Where did they grow up?  What influenced them to persue their dream?  What are they really like?

This webquest will be an adventure into the world of a president of your choice.  Get ready for an adventure where you will enjoy a new story and learn more about a talented person ...

During your journey to become an expert on your president of your choice, you will do the following:

* Choose an president that interests you.

* Read and complete an president graphic organizer about a your person.

*  Investigate important facts about your  president.

* Design a poster or biography bag to summarize and present your findings to your classmates.

* Write a 4-5 paragraph paper that shares the information you found and cite your sources.

  Process 

If you are ready to begin your President Biography Adventure, here are the steps to follow:

1.  Choose an president that interests you.

Presidents to choose from include:

George Washington  Richard Nixon Abraham Lincoln Ronald Regan
Theodore Roosevelt Jimmy Carter John F. Kennedy George Bush
Thomas Jefferson James Madison    

2.  Find a book about your president that you would like to read. You can always ask a teacher or a librarian for help on finding a good choice for you.

3. Print out the president information graphic organizer so that as you read your book you can fill in the important details.

4. Biography Bag directions and information sheet.

5. Cite your sources.
