Clubs will meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month beginning in September. We will not meet in December and will end in April.

Lacrosse Club – Introduction to Lacrosse, studying the history of the game and learn the basic skills to play lacrosse. Sponsors: Carol Clark, Pam Hill, and Sandy King Room 227

Babysitters’ Club – Learn the basics of baby/child care, including simple first aid, outdoor and indoor activities for small children. Sponsor: Terri Phillips Room 107

Pop Music Club – Work with students to play and create pop songs (with guitar, bass, drums, etc.), as well as digital recording (audio and video). Sponsors: Jason Rooney and Carroll Hill Cafeteria

Knitting Club – Learn basic skills such as knitting that can be given as gifts or kept to enjoy. Sponsors: Tammy Offenbacker-Koogler, Betty Emswiler, and Laura Roberts Room 207

Computer/Photography Club (Limit 10) – 10 students will work with digital cameras, Photo Shop Elements and the Color Printer. We will learn how to fix and change pictures and use those pictures to create a poster. Sponsor: Debbie Shank

The Kitchen Connection Club – Learn how to create basic snacks for yourself and others.

Private Eyes – This club will center on mysteries, which involves guest speakers, making invisible ink, games, solving mysteries, developing powers of observation, mystery websites, and good mystery titles for those who enjoy reading mysteries. Volunteer Club – The students will participate in volunteer projects at J. Frank Hillyard and in the community.

Video Games Club – Students meet together at school to play PSS2 and X-Box games with one another (T-rated games or below only). Sponsors: Steve McDonnell and Sherwyn Smeltzer Room 117

International Club - The international club will focus on languages and cultures from around the world. We will improve our language skills, play games, eat foods, celebrate holidays, listen to music and make crafts from around the world.

Conservation Club – This club will discuss how peoples’ actions effect the environment. Activities will include studies of types of pollution, resource conservation and public policy designed to protect the environment. We may even build some models. Join this club to see how you can practice the Pillars of Character by being a citizen who cares about the environment. Sponsors: Susan Anderson and Scott Benton Room 210

Puzzle Club – For those who like to solve puzzles and mind games. Sponsors: Janet Shank and Brenda Maddox

Games Club – This club will meet to play board games such as Rook and Chess. Students can also play cards during this club time. Sponsors: Mrs. Ruozzi and Mr. Morrow Library

Paper Crafts Club – Learn to make paper crafts for yourself and to share with others. Sponsors: Kathy McKenzie and Betsy Thomas Room 205

Future Authors Club – This club will focus on fine tuning the craft of writing. Writing types will center on poetry and fiction. This club is for those who love to write creatively for the sheer pleasure of writing. Sponsor: Kenny Boyers

Music and Dance Club – Dance and sing along to music. Sponsor: Margie Clement
Mobile Unit 1

Golf Club –An introduction to the fundamentals of the golf swing as well as the rules, etiquette, and history of the sport.

All Creatures Great and Small - This club will be about making healthy snacks for all creatures. For example, dog and cat biscuits for pets, peanut butter balls for birds and trail mix for humans. We will also be making projects for critters from recycled materials. Sponsors: Sandy Good-Wetsel and Jeanne Ritchie Room 201
