Students raise over 3,300 cans

The JFH Student Council would like to thank all of those in the community who have donated to our canned food drive. As a school, we collected 3,329 seperate items, with a total weight of over 3,100 pounds. These items were taken to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to be distributed to those in need in our community.

The Titans Team collected the most items, with a total of 957 cans. The 6th Grade Upstairs Team came in second with 768 items.

Thank you to all of you who helped make our project such a success!

Mrs. Fawley goes to Washington!!

Mrs. Fawley is back and very excited about her trip.

Just a few highlights -

She was interviewed by HGTV's Geniveve Gorder for their Christmas Special as well as OPRAH for her special.

She observed the First Lady giving her Holiday Preview for the press which can be viewed on the White House website.

After the first lady gave her speech, Mrs. Fawley took questions from the press in the Blue Room by the official tree. :) Cool, huh?

HGTV special will air Sunday, Dec. 20 and Oprah's will air Sunday, Dec 13 @ 10pm.

How exciting for Mrs. Fawley - and JFHMS!!

CNN interview with Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Fawley!

Four JFH FCCLA members traveled to Louisville, KY, with members from Spotswood HS, for the National Cluster Meeting. We attended leadership workshops and even had time to do some sightseeing, including the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Science Center, and the Zoo.
