--Bring a news article to class (newspaper, internet, magazine, etc.)
--answer questions 1-4 about your article on page 269 (on a separate sheet of paper, complete sentences, thoughtful answers)

--read p. 245
--write one persuasive paragraph about why the Electoral College system works
--write one paragraph about why it should be abolished
--write one paragraph on the steps that would have to be taken to abolish it (amendment process)
--each paragraph must be at least 5 sentences
8. Political Cartoon Assignment (10 points)
--Pick ONE of the following options:
1. Create your own political cartoon. It must be colorful, neat, and it must make a point or express a point of view about a topic. Include a title.
2. Find 3 political cartoons in newspapers, magazines, on the internet, etc.
--Answer the following questions about each cartoon:
a. Who/what is being represented?
b. What symbols are being used to represent people/places/things?
c. What is the artist’s point?
--Attach your cartoons to the paper where you wrote your answers.
