Obe is NETS*T certified, Smartboard Exemplary Educator, was JFHMS Teacher of the Year and won the Governor's Innovative Technology grant for outstanding integration of technology in the classroom. 

He has presented at JMU, EMU, NTTI, VEMA, VSTE,VDOE, ISTE and Teacher2Teacher Conferences. He is known for his ability to assist teachers in bringing lessons alive especially through the use of games, ipad apps, advanced web searches for classroom content, PowerPoints, SMART Boards, Discovery Education, Quia assessments and multimedia.

Obe is a summer technician for RCPS as well and has signification network and troubleshooting skills for Windows and MAC computers.
