Viewsonic Projectors will give a filter reset error message that requires reset to remove the message. You’ll see the error screen and/or blinking red lights on top of the unit. Remove the plastic cover and blow the dust out of the sponge filter (using compressed air or your personal air!). Replace the filter and cover back into position. Using the menu buttons on top of the unit, scroll to the bottom of the menu to “options”. Scrolling direction arrows will tell you which button to push for scrolling and selecting. In options scroll to the filter time setting. HOLD the selection button UNTIL the reset menu comes up, then scroll to reset. This is the step that catches most people as you must hold down the selection button until the reset menu appears. Your filter error message will now disappear and normal use will be available.
