Spotswood's Band Named a "Virginia Honor Band" for 08-09

The Spotswood High School Band has been recognized as a "Virginia Honor Band" for the 2008-2009 school year. Bands achieving honor band status must demonstrate comprehensive success in the area of concert and marching band performance. The Spotswood Band has gained this recognition by earning "Superior" ratings through perfromance assessments at the VBODA Marching Band Festival and at the VBODA District Concert Festival. Of the several hundred high school bands in our state, only 51 have been named a "Virginia Honor Band" for the current year.
