Art Show Recognizes Student Work

Submitted by Dr. Kelly Troxell, RCPS Director of Career and Technical Education and Fine Arts

On Sunday, November 21, 2010, the Rockingham County Public Schools' Art Teachers hosted the first annual "Central Office Recognizing Student Artwork Exhibit and Reception." RCPS students, parents, employees, and community members took in the more than 200 pieces of original artwork by students from each of our schools. The event was sponsored by Rocco Building Supplies, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hoover, Jr., The Community Foundation, and the Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc.

Rockingham County Schools is proud of our talented students and teachers. The art display at Central Office has become a special tradition with students' artwork being displayed for the entire school year. If you missed the exhibit, we invite you to our offices located at 100 Mount Clinton Pike, Harrisonburg, to view the work of our talented students!
