Organ, Burkholder Earn State Honors

Spotswood High School's Marlon Organ was named the Group AA, Division 4 state boys' basketball Player of the Year by the Virginia High School Coaches Association. The senior guard averaged 25.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.

Turner Ashby High School's Kirby Burkholder was named to the girls' basketball All-Division 4 first team by the Virginia High School Coaches Association. The JMU-bound senior averaged 17.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.4 steals and 4.1 assists during the regular season.
