River Bend Students Enjoy Barnes & Noble Night

Fancy Nancy met Mudge at the River Bend Elementary School Barnes & Noble night, Thursday, October 1. Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Wendee Constable, brought along Dozer, her English Mastiff, who looks like Mudge from the Henry and Mudge series. The crowd was entertained by the talented Spotswood High School chorus led by Sarah Grisso. The night continued as 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Janis Churchill, her husband, and their cast of characters performed a new twist on an old favorite, Cinderella. Mrs. Margaret Alger, Librarian, and Assistant Principal, Ms. Sharon Martz, had the crowd laughing while Mrs. Alger sang about Fancy Nancy. Mr. Joe Taylor, River Bend's Principal, ended the night with football stories of Virginia's own NFL stars, the Barber twins.
