GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK
Assists the RCPS Technology Staff by providing building-level support for computer technology and technology users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS
The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The candidate must be a competent computer technology user experienced with using RCPS software and hardware; a frequent participant in RCPS Technology inservices; knowledgeable about and can demonstrate competence in all of the Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel; knowledgeable of the RCPS Technology Plan, fluent with the RCPS e-mail system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate must be a full-time faculty member of Rockingham County Public Schools and willing to attend additional training sponsored by the RCPS Technology Staff, as requested.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess good moral character.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
Duties performed typically in school settings to include: classrooms and lecture rooms. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting, up to approximately 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment such as computer equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds may be required. vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. Frequent contact with school personnel, parents, and members of the RCPS Technology Staff is required.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated on the ability and effectiveness in carrying out the above responsibilities by the building administrator(s).
