POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

 

JOB TITLE: Assessment/Technology Specialist  (half time)

 

LOCATION: Schools and/or Central    Office

 

JOB CATEGORY: Non-Classified

 

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: 

Director of Student Assessment

 

PAY GRADE: Teacher Scale (10-month                    position

 

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK

Provides assistance to the Director of Student Assessment and the Director of Math and Technology in relation to online testing and data tracking.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS

The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated ability and professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with school personnel and members of the community. The ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, teachers, administrators, and students. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and hold a Postgraduate Professional License with a teaching endorsement. Successful experience in public education as a teacher and/or administrator is required. 

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to provide own transportation to schools throughout the division. Candidate must possess good moral character.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS

Duties performed typically in school settings to include: offices, computer labs, and classrooms. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, lifting, up to approximately 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment such as technology equipment weighing up to approximately 75 pounds may be required. Frequent operation of a vehicle and office equipment is required. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards. Regular contact with staff members and administrators is required by phone, e-mail, or in person.

 

EVALUATION

The Director of Math and Technology will evaluate performance on the ability and effectiveness in carrying out the above responsibilities.
