Fulks Run School provides an educational program from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. The faculty and staff attempt to plan, coordinate and implement all learning activities to best meet the needs of each child. The curriculum is comprised of any and all experiences that the school provides for the child and is carefully selected to expose the student to a varied program that will enable him to be a well-rounded citizen of his community.
Special programs and teachers assist in helping each child as he works through the continuous progress curriculum in school. Assembly programs, field trips, art, music books, films, and other media supplement the basic instructional program.
The basic skill subjects are taught through the concept of Language Arts Block. This is the large block of time devoted to Reading, Spelling, Writing, Grammar and Current Events. Social Studies, Math, Science, Health, and Physical Education and related fields such as Music and Art comprise the basic curriculum offerings.
Writing across the curriculum and thematic units are encouraged.
