EES PTA News!! August 2010 Welcome back to school everyone! We are glad to have you here. I think we are in for one very exciting year. We in the PTA are preparing a great year for you with a lot of fun things in store. My name is Barbara Frazier. I will be te PTA President for this school year. If I don't already know you, I look forward to meeting you and your families! Interested in being on the PTA executive board? We have some open spots. If you would like to chair a committee please contact me. Being in the PTA is a great way to be involved in your child's school. Anyone can have a general membership. The cost is $4.00 or 2 for $7.00. You can be well involved or support from the sidelines. It's your choice. Your membership not only helps the school, it gives EES a stronger voice on the local, state, and national level. If you have already joined...thank you! Thank you to all those who ordered the back to school kits. Hope you enjoyed not having to shop for those items! Thank you Terry Shifflett & her son's Logan & Hunter for placing all those kits in the classrooms! A huge thank you to Monica Hensley for having the membership tables set up on fee day and meet the teacher night. Also thanks to all her helpers, Ann Hensley, Tasha Andrews, Terry Shifflett, Carolyn Good & BJ Merica. Your time is greatly appreciated. Also thank you to Monica for the wonderful back to school bulletin board! Our fall fundraiser will kick off Sept. 3rd. This is a big way to earn money for our school. Please help us keep our school up-to-date with technology, such as smart boards and document cameras. I can't thank Terry & BJ enough for helping me transition into this position. I look forward to serving this school with pride. EES is truly a wonderful school. We have wonderful teachers, staff and one really terrific principal. Enjoy your years at EES.
